This is how a person develops posture, balance, and structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>What is a typical class like?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It begins with a few minutes of standing meditation followed by some warm-up and stretching exercises.&nbsp;&nbsp;Attention is given to specific postures and principles.&nbsp;&nbsp;Individuals then work one-on-one with Tom on whatever movement they have progressed to in the form or the partner work.&nbsp;&nbsp;The class then does the form in unison.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How long are the sessions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The class will last 60-90 minutes depending on how far the student has advanced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How big are the classes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The class is limited to 4 students. I believe in significant individual attention. Most classes are private<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>What should I wear?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Loose, comfortable clothing that allows deep breaths.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wear comfortable flat shoes such as tennis shoes or come barefoot if the weather permits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Are classes in a series or a set? When can I start?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">You can start any time. I teach on a very individual basis.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can start anytime. Please call before your first lesson as there are occasional temporary changes in schedule for special events or bad weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>What if I miss a class?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">T\u2019ai Chi is an ongoing process, with each person progressing at their own rate.&nbsp;&nbsp;At the next class you attend, you can proceed to the next step.
